Panasonic Connect Europe has announced its most sustainable projector to date with the introduction of the LCD MZ882 Series at ISE 2024. With a brightness of up to 8,200 lm, the MZ882 Series sets a new benchmark for visual quality in education and work spaces, while placing a strong emphasis on sustainability and cost performance.
Featuring recycled resins (10%) in the main projector unit for the first time and recyclable components throughout, the MZ882 Series represents a milestone in Panasonic’s effort to reduce the carbon footprint of its products. Minimizing waste thanks to the reduction in packaging and related accessories, the projector offers energy-saving innovations and delivers bright and sharp images in the well-lit rooms that customers expect.
Optimized to Reduce Waste and Carbon Footprint
The series’ improved optical engine increases brightness over the existing MZ880 Series, with an increase in lm/W efficiency of up to 8.7%. The MZ882 Series also offers an intelligent auto-on function that starts the projector when a signal is detected, minimizing continuous operation of the projector during presentations. To limit waste, the ECO Filter can be washed twice and reused, while light source and filter maintenance is recommended every 20,000 hours.
Bright and Sharp Viewing Comfort
With optimally balanced color and brightness, the MZ882 Series produces sharp, detailed images in well-lit areas for clear visibility that’s easy on the eyes. Image realism and energy efficiency are further enhanced with Dynamic Contrast, which delivers a high 3,000,000:1 contrast ratio with scene-related modulation control to the light source.
Detail Clarity Processor 4 analyzes the video signal in each scene for a better sense of clarity, measuring basic ambient illumination and performing real-time corrections to improve brightness perception and optimize energy usage. For multi-screen applications, the projector supports Shutter Sync and Contrast Sync functions and is compatible with Panasonic’s Geometry Manager Pro software.
