Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR), the UK’s largest railway company, has warned of possible cancellations on four train lines. The German Stock Exchange reported that transactions started normally but controls continue. The Swiss Stock Exchange stated that its systems were working normally. The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the global cyber outage affected some of its electronic systems and advised users to refrain from taking any action until the issue is resolved.

Crowdstrike Description

Information technology firm Crowdstrike stated that they are aware of reports of crashes related to the Falcon sensor in Microsoft’s Windows operating system. The company announced that the issue was detected and isolated, and a fix was deployed. Crowdstrike CEO emphasized that there was no cyber attack or security related situation.

USOM stated that as a result of its investigation, they determined that the outage occurred in institutions and organizations using the CrowdStrike product. The statement included the following statements:
